The Money-Slave and The Angel of Death

A money-slave worked very hard to save all his money. When he last checked his account he had saved more than 3 million dollars.

One day, he decided to stop working for one whole year and to figure out what to do with the rest of his life.

But as he was loitering around doing nothing, the Angel of Death came upon him.

The Angel of Death wanted to take his life away. However, the Money Slave begged for an extension of his life.

"Give me three more days to get my affairs straight, I'll give you one third of my wealth!" He begged when he saw nothing else could persuade the Angel of Death.

The Angel of Death did not respond. He was stern with the decision to take away the Money Slave's life.

"All right, if you just give me two more days to live, I'll gladly give you 2 million dollars!"

The Angel of Death did not respond at all. He was determined to take the Money-Slave's life.

The Money-Slave knew nothing could stop the Angel of Death at all, not even a thirty minutes in exchange for all the 3 million dollars he had.

"Since I'm going to die, let me just pen a line for my descendants," he begged.

The Angel of Death nodded.

The Money-Slave wrote with his own blood: 'Brothers, always be reminded that nothing is more precious than your own life. All your wealth won't be able to buy even an hour of life!'

What is your motive in your quest of gathering wealth? Do you really know what you want from your life? Do you really enjoy what you have?
